Happy Christmastime

Happy Christmas to you all, kind followers!  Tonight is the Night of the Long Moon.  Here it is rising at 5.30pm on Christmas Eve.

Rebecca Gethin is a poet and a novelist. Cinnamon Press published her third collection, All the Time in the World in 2017. Another pamphlet is forthcoming with Three Drops Press. Her second novel, What the horses heard, was published by Cinnamon Press in May 2014. Her second poetry collection - A Handful of Water - was published by Cinnamon in 2013. Her first - River is the Plural of Rain - was published by Oversteps Books in 2009. Her novel Liar Dice won the Cinnamon Press Novel Writing Award in 2010 and was published in 2011. She lives on Dartmoor and writes occasional pieces about wildlife and nature. Her poems appear in a variety of poetry magazines and in several anthologies.

    High in the sky above Port Ellen. Waiting for it to get a little higher than we should have a silvery pathway across the sea.

    It clouded over on Christmas Day but excellent views at 9.00am on Sunday 27th December – our first completely clear sky over Christmas – you can see my Facebook page for images of sun rise and moon set.

  6. It has been marvellous having a fullmoon over Christmas. I’ve been on lots of moonlit walks with the dog which were much nicer than groping through the dark with a torch.

  7. ha ha… i thought you were goign to say so much nice than groping through the daylight with a torch …..which is what has been like here!
